how do you become a foster parent? What are the steps I need to take?

    Contact your local department of social services.They are the ones that handle that.You have to fill out applications and pass criminal background checks.Its not to complicated.Just may take a little time for everything to process and get you approved.

    it depends on the state, but you need to contact your local social services place, then you will have to take a class or two, have a back ground check, have social workers come to your house, get on a list. it actually is a very complicated and emotianaly hard process, but it is well worth it, being an foster and adoptive parent myself.
