What do you have to do to be a foster parent?

I just wanted to know if anyone on this site is a foster parent and if so what are the steps involved in becoming a foster parent? I have three children of my own, and would love to take in a child who needs a loving home.

    well my mother did it for over 20 yrs and all u have to do is contact ur local office for fostering children or its a 1800 number to call and they will send info and send u to traning classes and do back ground checks and make sure ur able to have children in ur home and other little things

    When I was in foster care our parents told us that it was a bit of a process….here’s a site I found, click state requirements. Hope it helps! i hope that you do decide to become one….we could really use great foster parents with intentions like yours now days all ppl are in it for is the money….
