Mezich hit the nail right on the head. First of all, using the word “retarded” in that context is extremely derogatory and makes you sound ignorant. You’ll have to clean up your language if you want to pass good values on to your future children.
Don’t worry about what anyone thinks of you carrying the fake baby. After all, what are you going to do when you have a real baby, and he does something in public that embarrasses you? And believe me, it happens quite often during parenthood.
Finally, caring for a baby simulator only gives you a tiny taste of what parenthood is like. Unlike fake babies, real ones cost tons of money, grow up (thus costing you even more money), put your car keys in the toilet, and oh yeah, they don’t have a battery that can be removed.
Give the class a shot, but keep in mind that no class can fully prepare you for parenthood. Good luck.

take the parenting class. It will be a lot more useful in the REAL WORLD than photography. Anyone can shoot a damn picture. Not everyone can take care of kids. Properly that is. Plus you get a heads up on baby sitting jobs.

At least you won’t have to carry around an egg! I had to carry one and the first day I dropped it. It was my “crack baby”.

You’ll probably get more out of photography. Save the parenting class for when you are actually ready to become a parent!

i think its a great idea, even if you dont intend to have children for awhile, which hopefully you aren’t. i think parenting classes should be mandatory for high school students.

Take photography. When you become pregnant, in many years- then take a parenting class. It never hurts. They empower you with info from navel care in an infant to temper tantrums as a toddler. All good info.

First off stop caring what other people think of you and second do not use the word ‘retarded’ in an negative manner.
Fake baby’s and real baby’s are very different, they do have parenting classes for adults, so you do’nt have to take it now, you can take it later on.

I took a parenting in when I was in school and it was really nice. I think everyone should take some kind of parenting class at some point in their lives. It may not be of tremendous help, but it might teach you a thing or two.
