The Jonas Project – Chapter 4
Leah Anderson grabbed her backpack and headed for the door. She was still depressed about the tour being cancelled. ‘Come on, think of something happy,’she thought to herself. ‘Only two more days of school left!’ No matter how hard she tried, she could not shake the feeling of sadness and dissapointment that had settled in her heart. When she arrived at school, everyone was talking about the new parenting class. That stupid, stupid parenting class. She scowled angrily as she searched the crowd for her best freind, Bella. She spotted her over by the parking lot. She pushed through the crowd untill she reached Bella.
Bella:”Oh, hi Leah! So have you heard about the new parenting class? Hey, what’s wrong? You look sad!”
Leah:”They’re cancelling the Jonas Brothers tour.”
Bella:”What! They can’t do that!”
Leah:”They can. And they did.”
(Bell rings)
Bella and Leah head to homeroom.
In homeroom:
Teacher:”Good morning class! Now, I’m sure you’ve all heard about the new parenting class that is to take place this July. Is that correct?”
The class mumbled a response.
Teacher:”Good. Anyway, the class involves all participants to be paired into partners. I have your partner’s names right here. Aaron, could you hand these out for me?”
As soon as Bella got her letter she tore it open and peered at the name anxously.
Bella:”Ryan Hanley. Never heard of him. Hope he’s cute, though!”
Bella put down her letter.
Leah didn’t even pick up her letter when Aaron dropped it on her desk. This parenting class was the reason she wasn’t going to go see the Jonas Brothers. This stupid, stupid parenting class.
Bella:”Aren’t you gonna open that?”
Leah:”No!”
Bella:”Suit yourself!”
Bella picked up Leah’s letter and slit it open. As her eyes moved across the page her expression grew more and more shocked.
Bella:”Why…But…How…There must be a mistake!”
She handed the letter to Leah. There, under where it said ‘partner’, were two words:
Nicholas Jonas.
