its common for boys and girls to try anything that is usually opposite sex targeted – Parents need to set boundaries and give thought provoking suggestions – my 3 yr old son used to want to wear make-up and nail polish, my daughter and I told him it’s for girls but she went about and gave him a makeover, we laughed (including him) at the sillyness and its over. He likes spiderman, sports, and kittens = balance

There’s a difference between a PARENT making her child wear a skirt, and a child choosing to wear a skirt. If a parent forces a child to do something that results in him being ostracized and harassed, then obviously trauma will result and possible mental health issues will arise.

I absolutely agree with Ben. A four year old has no rights and absolutely no sense. If they’re 15, 16, 17… then have a conversation and it’s let them do it.

Hello, earth to somebody. Is anybody home upstairs. Think, think, talk, talk, When a child is 5 or 6, you help them to make a reasonable choice, but they do not tell the parents what to do. Like don’t give an 8 year old birth control. Parents must have some control when kids are younger. Where is common sense?

Well, now you can’t wonder why people are making anti-Canadian remarks about you!
I lived in Canada for several years and loved it. Everything about it was wonderful and I go back for vacations some time. But America must have something going for it too if the number of immigrants trying to get into this country each year matches our entire nation’s population!!!
I guess we’re all allowed to be different…and say so!

No idea? Really? What nazi school did you go to? Most schools don’t have enough staff to monitor the classroom much less the grounds and the yards and the gym-in-between-classes and on the way home if another kid really has a grudge. Only someone in the twightlight zone doesn’t realize that kids beat other kids up every day and get away with it! Come back to earth and dwell with us a while…

I’m sorry, when did the topic change ot illegal narcotics? Oh, it didn’t, you’re just an idiot. Ok. BTW- love the opinion stated as a fact in your second sentence there. Well done. The world? It’s out of your hands so stop trying to change it and just do with the flow, like a real human being does. And parents are the least of people that are lacking in anything.

I love the way the last guy condescendingly says, “you’re different.” (1:35) And people wonder why Americans suck. THAT’S WHY!

Personally, I had no idea schools allow childrebn to physically assault each other. I always thought they suspended or expelled people for that. I guess if you are a guy in a dress, the school rules and regulaitons do not apply to you and people can just stomp you to death if they please. Basing this of course on the last guys answer/insecurity. If he is being realistic, that’s because he thinks he knows what reality is. He doesn’t. Nobody does.
