so far…i’m doing good! after 7 years, i might just be getting the hang of this motherhood thing. lol!

the last one would be last Halloween when i agreed to having my 4-year old come to the school party as Edward Scissorhands.
naturally, he promptly gutted one of his chubby classmates (who btw came in as Stay Puff Marshmallow Man! lmao!).
don’t worry, people, my boy’s scissors were just made of cardboard. but Stay Puff’s mother went ballistic nonetheless. haha, funny flashback! uh, that’s a mishap, right? hehe.

a few weeks ago when I was at my nanny job (lost it now..bad economy grrr) he was going up the stairs, the phone rang so I grabbed him away and went for the phone… little bugger went for the stairs again and did the swan dive from the 1st or 2nd step and got a huge huge egg on his little head… he was fine but I felt awful.

last night, I bonked my 4 1/2 month old’s head on the molding around the door (not hard at all). I felt soooo bad. so so so bad. I cried. he did not, haha.

Actually this morning, haha funny storry…
I hopped in the shower and Caleb was crawling around on the bathroom floor, well I thought this is harmless no big deal… I’ll hop in and hop out. He started playing with the door stopper on the wall and I kept hearing it go ‘Boing, boing, boing’… again I thought harmless it’s not like it can hurt him so I shaved my legs (for the first time this week lol) and washed my hair. When I got out of the shower Caleb had pulled the door stopper along with the screws that go to it out of the wall and was trying to eat it! So I had to open up his mouth forcefully to get the screws out so he didn’t swallow them, he started screaming bloody murder. Needless to say I felt awful, he could’ve really gotten hurt and something I thought was harmless wasn’t… he could’ve swallowed metal LOL! Brings new meaning to the phrase ‘baby proofing the house’… I thought I was prepared, it’s amazing what they can find in a split second that could hurt them.

my son likes to splash the cat’s water dish. One time I caught him, told him to stop and let him splash his “own” dish of water. He has slipped in the past due to the water being splashed all over the floor. for some reason I didnt think about it happening with this new dish since it wasnt the cat dish. well he slipped and got a small bump on his head…I felt so stupid and such a bad mommy.

i didnt screw the top on my little ones nuby cup.. she leaned back to take a big drink and apple juice went right up her nose and all over the floor. right as i ran out of swiffer wetjet pads.

I “accidentally” left Adriana’s purses in the car on a trip out (on purpose since she was carrying 2) and she was not to happy about it. Had I realized she was trying to be like mommy with a purse, I would have gotten it. Instead I got a lot of crying and complaining.

My 3 year old daughter called some lady at the store a boy very loudly

Yes, huge. While I was sitting *right* there, my normally mellow cat scratched my one year old right across his face. I’m not even sure what happened, the cat has been totally fine with him. Obviously, as the only sentient adult in the room, it was my fault that it happened and I felt awful.

Right now. I need L’s birth certificate and social security card for some paperwork and it is nowhere to be seen. I also crushed one of S’ built legos by accidentally stepping on it (he was very mad)
