Parenting Questeion — how would you handle this during the night?

Gallo asked:

We have a 4 year old and another that’s 18 months. We all sleep on the same floor and all 3 of our bedrooms are lined up next to each other down the hallway.

Our younger one all of a sudden started waking up at 3 AM, calls for us and won’t go back down until we go in there. We both want to leave her in there to cry it out, but if we try that route, she wakes up my son, who then comes in our room and then we’re all up. It takes another 30 minutes to get him back in bed, settled, etc.

What would you do in this situation — let the younger one cry it out until she figures it out and wake my son, or take the 10 minutes to go in her room, get her settled back in and everyone is happy? I don’t want her to think we’ll keep going in there every night, but on the other hand, it’s the easier route to go in the middle of the night.
She has a night light in her room….

She’s also down to one nap a day, which she definately needs. If she doesn’t get it, she’s completely crazy come 5:30….
