What do you do about parenting disagreements?

Parenting
warehaus asked:

How do you and your parenting partner resolve disagreements about how to discipline, or what a rule or policy should be? In particular, what do you do when you find you disagree in front of your child(ren)? (The question or problem had never come up before and you have to solve it right then and there.)

Talk about it away from the kids and do not show any form of disagreement in front of the kids.
If the kids do not like the discipline, they will pick the person who disagreed with the punishment and side with them.
Tell the kids you will give punishment later and what they have done is wrong and to go and reflect on what they have done, this gives you and your partner time to come to an agreement.

As long as you are not yelling and you know how to communicate intelligently…talk it out.
